================================================= GENIV MENU SYSTEM for WinCE GPS Units ================================================= complaints and death threats email me at: rimmerchant@yahoo.com http://www.geniv.com/download/HACKEDGPS.htm ================================================= About: ================================================= Originally this was started as a simple menu for an unlocked Omnitech GPS but I keep adding features for it and got a few other GPS units that it became more of a menu system for Unlocked GPS units based on WinCE5.0. Thanks to the community for posting their finding and files. this wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for them. Here's my contribution back ================================================= INSTALLATION: (Omnitech GPS) ================================================= 1- start with a clean SD card 2- copy your Destinatorapp (from your current card or original card) directory over to the card 3- download my latest GenIV MS file http://www.geniv.com/download/OmintechSD/ 4- unzip them to the root of your SD card and when prompted for overwrite just pick yes to all 5- jump up and down 10 times while shaking the SD card to distribute the data evenly across the card 6- put the SD card on the GPS and power it up. If you did all that Destinator should work fine. the rest of the GPS software you have to put in yourself into it's associated directory (navigon, igo, amigo, miomap etc..) ================================================= Missing Map Data Files: ================================================= I left the map files for the navigation softwares out of my package ** This way I don't have to upload 8gigs of files. but all the necessary programs are included. Don't ask me for the map files. Those are fine programs worthy of your support. I encourage you to purchase them from the associated vendor/developer to get the map data files If you are familiar with the INI and MSCR files you can always edit the ones I have to point to your own icon/gps software and paths they are all under the \iphone directory ================================================= VERSION CHANGE LOG: ================================================= v2.1 ================================================= ----- Incorporated fixes/updates from browntiger - upgraded/fix Capture software - upgraded TCPMP - upgraded XnPocket - added new games: (thanks to brown tiger) - aquaball - aqua bubble - aqua pearl - Archibald's adventure * - Caisses (no icon on menu, goto games directory to play) * - Zuma (no icon on menu, goto games directory to play) * - Anthelion II (no icon on menu, goto games directory to play) * those games don't work properly so I didn't put it in the menu - cleaned up some codes - fix Executability check - fix the Notepad bitching about missing help files - got the Rotate utility working Browntiger has more update on his own "iphone2.0" skin release but some of the stuff I feel doesn't run well and I already put in my version of the fixes so I didn't include them. Thanks anyway dude. still you rock! ------ - added rotate fix for the following games: - aquaball, caisses, anthelionII - Diamond mines, cezebra, chess genius, freecell tetris, pacman2, * They look like ass in landscape mode. I made the system rotate to portait mode first before running this way it looks better - removed the following games from the menu: Square, Conquest so I can fit other game in. those two games sucks anyway and u can still goto to the games directory manually and play them - added Flash player (works on NOkia, C320 but not Omnitech :( - added FoxIt PDF viewer - Integrated MIOPOCKET v2 to the menu system. - fix Aimgo games going into "Demo mode" - fixes off centered "GPS software selection" text - fixes off centered "Interface selection" text Known Issues: - Flash player does not work on the Omnitech - Omnitech unit: MioPocket loads but alot of stuff in it does not work due to fact that the unit always hard resets on startup. only the "Vista Ultimate" skin have the icon to revert back to the GenIV MS ui. (I'm too lazy to add the icon to other skins) ================================================= v1.9 ================================================= replaced the "Quick UI" with "Mio Menu" (a clone of the default menu from a Mio C320 unit but with a major feature update) - Mio Menu have the ability to select from 8 gps software as the "MipMap" launch software. - Added "MioPocket" to the interface selection screen. - MioPocket works perfectly and can coexist with my menu system. (though a reboot is required to switch back and forth.) ================================================= v1.5 ================================================= - Added 3 more GPS software: Igo Amigo, TomTom, Garmin (total of 7 gps software) - made 2nd page for gps software list - Modified AMigo to support TTS and share contents with existing Igo8. This way you don't have to store 1.4 gigs of redundant data on your SD card - If there is more than one page of items I added a arrow icon for next page - You can tap the bottom icon again to move to next page also - Added an entire page of games from the Amigo game addons Direct access to the games from Amigo (kinda stupid to have to start and wait for Amigo to start just to play the games) * Sometimes the game will say "in demo" mode. if that happens start up and shut down Amigo and it the games will run normally - Added GPSTimeSync on startup to display the correct time - Added two more interface menu - Added a interface selection and the ability to make the gps boot up to any of the different menus - Replaced Shinco Player (It sucks and have slow startup) with Core Player (You can minimize it to have music play in background :) - uploaded new youtube videos of the new interface ================================================= v1.0 ================================================= Inital release to the public
